• Dr. Israt Jahan passed her MBBS in 2010 from Ease West Medical College and Hospital at the University of Dhaka. She also completed her Master of Public Health (MPH) in 2022, from Lund University, Lund, Sweden.
• She completed her Training course in Palliative Care and Pain Management from 2013 to 2018 from Asia Pacific Hospice Palliative Care Network (APHN, Singapore with the collaboration of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU), National Institute of Cancer Research & Hospital and Dhaka Medical College (DMC).
• She worked in Palliative and Hospice Care in the Swedish Government Healthcare system from June 2022 to March 2023. She joined as Palliative Care Physician at United Hospital Limited in May 2023.
• She worked at United Hospital Oncology Department as a Clinical Assistant (CA) from 2012 to 2020. During this time, she attended as Speaker of an International Palliative Care conference- APHC-2019 at Surabaya, Indonesia. Then she moved to Sweden to pursue her Master’s in Public Health and was awarded the prestigious Swedish international (SI) government scholarship.
