He passed MBBS in 1989 from Chittagong Medical College under the University of Chittagong. He enrolled in a Doctor of Medicine (MD) course in Radiology & Imaging at BIRDEM under Dhaka University in 2003. He has had CT, MRI & Mammography training in reputed hospitals in India including Medanta Hospital of Gurgaon and Beach Candy Hospital of Mumbai. He further took Interventional Radiology training from CMC Vellore, India.
